IJETZ 2026 Special Issues (Volume 5 Issue 1) – APC Waiver and Discount Policy

The International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ) is pleased to announce the 2026 Special Issues (Volume 5, Issue 1), dedicated to supporting international collaborative research in education and teaching. These special issues are established to promote high-quality, cross-border academic partnerships that contribute to the advancement of global education.

Starting in 2026, the International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ) will provide broader opportunities for researchers, especially those engaged in international collaboration. However, the Article Processing Charge (APC) discount policy will apply only to manuscripts developed through international partnerships, meaning that at least one author must be affiliated with an institution in a different country. Manuscripts written entirely by authors from the same country will still be considered for review and publication but will not be eligible for any APC discount. This policy is intended to encourage cross-border collaboration and strengthen the journal’s international reach, ensuring that published works reflect diverse global perspectives and contribute to higher research quality.

The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) is USD 200. To encourage international collaborations, IJETZ introduces a Special APC Waiver and Discount Policy for its 2026 Special Issues (Volume 5 Issue 1). Authors may qualify for the following APC discounts or waivers:

For Authors from Indonesia

Authors affiliated with institutions in Indonesia may qualify for the following APC discounts or waivers based on international collaboration:

(1). Manuscripts with authors from two (2) different countries are eligible for a 25% discount (USD 150).
(2). Manuscripts with authors from three (3) different countries are eligible for a 50% discount (USD 100).
(3). Manuscripts with authors from four (4) different countries are eligible for a 75% discount (USD 50).
(4). Manuscripts with authors from five (5) different countries will receive a full waiver (100% discount – USD 0).

For Authors from Outside Indonesia

Authors affiliated with institutions outside Indonesia may qualify for the following APC discounts or waivers based on the level of international collaboration:

(1). Manuscripts with all authors from outside Indonesia and involving collaboration with at least one (1) additional country outside Indonesia are eligible for a 50% discount (USD 100).

(2). Manuscripts with all authors from outside Indonesia and involving collaboration with at least two (2) different countries outside Indonesia are eligible for a 75% discount (USD 50).

(3). Manuscripts with all authors from outside Indonesia and involving collaboration with at least three (3) different countries outside Indonesia are eligible for a full waiver (100% discount – USD 0).

IJETZ is committed to promoting genuine and meaningful international collaboration, rather than administrative or nominal affiliations. Therefore, the following policy is applied strictly to uphold academic integrity and international credibility. To qualify for APC discounts or waivers, each author—whether from Indonesia or outside Indonesia—must be an academic, lecturer, teacher, or researcher who is formally employed, institutionally affiliated, and actively engaged in academic or research activities at a recognized educational or higher education institution in their respective country. Each manuscript may include a maximum of five (5) authors. Authors who are students or currently studying abroad will not be considered as representatives of the country where they study, unless they hold an official position, participate in research, or are actively involved in academic work at the institution listed as their affiliation.

These IJETZ 2026 Special Issues (Volume 5, Issue 1) will feature innovative international research that advances teaching practices and educational development worldwide. Policy on Systematic Review Submissions

International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone — 2025-10-30

Dear Authors and Researchers,

Starting from the publication year 2026, the International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ) will no longer accept or process manuscripts categorized as “Systematic Reviews” or similar literature-based studies.

This decision is made to maintain the journal’s focus on original empirical research, experimental studies, and innovative model development that directly contribute to educational practice and theory.

Many submissions labeled as systematic reviews have been found to lack methodological rigor, follow-up data validation, or synthesis aligned with PRISMA standards, resulting in limited scientific contribution. Therefore, to ensure publication quality and relevance, IJETZ will prioritize:

Empirical studies based on quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods research.
Experimental or quasi-experimental studies with measurable educational outcomes.
Developmental research (R&D) involving innovative learning models or assessment systems.

Authors are advised to review the updated Author Guidelines (2026 Edition) before submission.

Implementation of AI Use Policy (Effective 2026)

Starting in January 2026, the International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ) officially implements a new AI Use Policy for all submitted manuscripts. This policy ensures that all authors, editors, and reviewers use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools responsibly, transparently, and ethically throughout the research and publication process.

The decision to establish this policy aligns with IJETZ’s ongoing commitment to uphold academic integrity, publication ethics, and transparency, in accordance with the standards of Scopus and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Permitted Use of AI Tools
Authors may use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, Scite) only to improve language clarity, grammar, or readability.
The use of AI for generating or altering research data, analysis, or conclusions is strictly prohibited.
Mandatory Disclosure
Any use of AI tools in the preparation of manuscripts must be clearly disclosed in the acknowledgments or methods section.
Authors are encouraged to use the following statement:

“The authors acknowledge the use of [AI Tool Name] for [specific purpose, e.g., language editing or text refinement].
The authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all content.”
Editorial and Review Integrity
Editors and reviewers are not permitted to use AI tools to make editorial decisions, peer review comments, or content evaluations.
All editorial processes must remain human-supervised and based on scholarly expertise.
Violation and Consequences
Manuscripts containing undisclosed or unethical AI-generated material will be rejected, withdrawn, or retracted, depending on the severity of the violation.

The criteria for selecting board members are as follows:
• Doctor with relevant expertise (Education and Teaching);
• Have a strong, enthusiastic interest in the quality of scientific journals;
• Have a Scopus ID or Web of Science ResearcherID;
• Have a position as a Lecturer at a university, academic institution, or researcher;
• Previous experience reviewing peer-reviewed publications.

Information about Changes to the Journal's Article Processing Charge (APC) starting June 2025 edition

Dear Author, IJETZ Journal

To maintain transparency in the entire process at the International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ), and also to provide assistance for researchers to publish their journals in the IJETZ journal, we hereby inform all authors and readers of the IJETZ journal that the publication costs for the IJETZ journal have changed starting in Volume 4 Issue 2 (June 2025 Edition), using several financing categories.

The International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ) charges the following article processing:

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR). Authors are not required to pay Article Submission Charges as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs. For the Article Processing Charge (APC), a publication fee of USD 181.16 (~IDR. 3,000,000) is charged.

Publication Fee is used to support the cost of disseminating research results with wide open access and manage various expenses related to handling and editing submitted manuscripts and general management of the journal and publication. Authors or author institutions must pay a publication fee for each article accepted according to the categories specified in the IJETZ journal. The fee charged is for a minimum of eight (8) manuscripts, excluding references, up to twenty (20) pages with references. The editor-in-chief will give instructions for sending money via bank transfer upon notification of receipt of the manuscript that has been stated as accepted.
