Electronic Filing

1. Journal Archiving and Digital Preservation

The International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ) is committed to maintaining the accessibility, integrity, and availability of its published scholarly content. The journal uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) as its online journal management and publishing platform to support manuscript submission, editorial processing, publication, and online access to scholarly articles.

1.1. Journal Website and Electronic Archive

IJETZ provides online access to its published articles and issues through its official journal website. The electronic archive, managed through OJS, enables readers to access, retrieve, and consult previously published articles and issues. The journal aims to maintain the accessibility of its electronic publications and to provide readers with consistent access to its scholarly content.

1.2. Digital Backup and Data Protection

IJETZ recognizes the importance of protecting its electronic publications and editorial records against data loss, technical failures, and unauthorized modification. Appropriate backup and recovery procedures should be maintained by the journal's technical administrator or hosting provider to safeguard journal content and support the continuity of online services.

The journal also recognizes the importance of protecting editorial information and publication records. Access to non-public editorial materials is restricted to authorized individuals in accordance with the journal's applicable policies and procedures.

1.3. Digital Preservation

The use of OJS provides an infrastructure for online journal management and access to electronic archives but does not, by itself, guarantee long-term digital preservation. IJETZ recognizes the importance of preserving scholarly publications and seeks to support their continued accessibility through appropriate digital preservation arrangements.

Participation in dedicated digital preservation services, including the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), will be identified on the journal website only when such participation has been confirmed.

IJETZ distinguishes between online availability, electronic archiving, indexing, and long-term digital preservation. These functions serve related but different purposes in supporting the accessibility and continuity of scholarly communication.

2. Indexing and Discoverability

IJETZ seeks to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and discoverability of its scholarly publications through academic indexing, abstracting, and discovery services.

The journal is included in Education Abstracts (H.W. Wilson) through EBSCO. This service supports the discovery and retrieval of scholarly literature in education and related fields. Information about IJETZ's other indexing and listing services, including the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and Index Copernicus International (ICI), is provided where the journal's inclusion can be verified through the respective services.

Indexing and abstracting services facilitate the identification, discovery, and dissemination of published research. However, inclusion in these services does not, by itself, constitute a guarantee of permanent digital preservation or uninterrupted access to published content.

Accordingly, IJETZ treats indexing and discoverability as complementary to its electronic archiving and digital preservation efforts.

3. Author Self-Archiving Policy

IJETZ supports the responsible dissemination and sharing of scholarly research. Authors may share and deposit the published version of their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, and personal academic webpages, provided that such sharing complies with the journal's copyright and licensing terms.

Articles published by IJETZ are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0):

https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/

Under this license, authors and other users may share and adapt published material in accordance with the license terms, including appropriate attribution, a link to the license, and compliance with the ShareAlike requirement for adaptations.

When depositing or sharing a published article, authors should:

  1. Provide the complete bibliographic citation of the published article.

  2. Include the DOI, where available.

  3. Provide a link to the official version published on the IJETZ website.

  4. Identify the applicable Creative Commons license and provide a link to its terms.

  5. Clearly indicate whether changes have been made when sharing adapted material, as required by the license.

The sharing or deposit of preprints and accepted manuscripts must comply with the applicable journal policies, publication agreements, copyright arrangements, and third-party rights. Materials incorporated into an article that are owned by third parties may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions.

4. Retention of Editorial Records

IJETZ maintains relevant editorial records for legitimate editorial, administrative, and publication-integrity purposes. These records may include manuscript submissions, peer-review reports, editorial correspondence, revised manuscripts, editorial decisions, and other documentation associated with the publication process.

Editorial records are treated as confidential and are accessible only to authorized individuals for legitimate professional purposes. IJETZ takes appropriate measures to protect confidential information and personal data in accordance with its applicable policies and relevant requirements.

The retention and handling of editorial records support transparency, accountability, and the integrity of the journal's editorial and publication processes.

5. Policy Review and Implementation

This Electronic Filing policy is reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains accurate, transparent, and consistent with IJETZ's actual archiving practices, copyright and licensing arrangements, and digital preservation measures.

Any material changes to the journal's electronic archiving or preservation arrangements will be reflected on the official IJETZ website. Statements concerning specific preservation services, backup arrangements, and indexing coverage will be maintained in accordance with the journal's verified practices and the relevant service providers' records.
