Ownership and Management Information

1. Publisher and Institutional Affiliation

The International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ) is published by the Yayasan Nurul Yakin Bunga Tanjung (Nurul Yakin Bunga Tanjung Foundation), an Indonesian legal entity established in 2014. The foundation's legal establishment was approved by the Indonesian Minister of Law and Human Rights under Decree No. AHU-09615.50.10.2014 concerning the ratification of the establishment of the foundation as a legal entity. The foundation was initially established to support educational activities, including the operation of MIS No. 28/E.3 Bunga Tanjung, a private Islamic elementary school in Kerinci Regency, Indonesia. Building on its educational foundation, the institution subsequently expanded its activities to support scholarly communication and academic publishing through the establishment of the Journal Development Institute.

This institutional foundation reflects the journal's origins in a local educational environment and its broader aspiration to contribute to international academic discourse.

2. History and Establishment of IJETZ

The International Journal of Education and Teaching Zone (IJETZ) was initiated by Dr. Fauzan Sulman, S.Pd., M.Pd., who served as the journal's initiator and facilitator. The journal emerged from a shared recognition of the importance of providing a scholarly platform for disseminating research findings, exchanging educational knowledge, and strengthening collaboration among researchers and educators.

On 24 February 2021, the initiative to establish IJETZ took shape through collaboration with editors and reviewers from different countries who shared a commitment to advancing research in education and teaching. The journal was conceived as a platform for scholarly exchange across national, cultural, and geographical boundaries, with particular attention to educational challenges and opportunities in remote and underserved communities.

IJETZ welcomes original research addressing education and teaching across diverse educational levels and settings, including early childhood education, primary and secondary education, higher education, and non-formal education. Its scope encompasses mathematics and science education, social sciences education, physical and health education, language education, early childhood education, special needs education, guidance and counseling, and other relevant areas of education.

From its beginnings in a local educational setting, IJETZ has pursued an international outlook, aspiring to connect researchers and educators across countries and continents through the exchange of rigorous, relevant, and impactful educational research.

3. Institutional Arrangement and Management

On 16 January 2022, IJETZ established an institutional publishing arrangement with the Yayasan Nurul Yakin Bunga Tanjung. This arrangement provided the legal and institutional framework required to support the journal's publishing operations and long-term development.

Within the foundation, the Journal Development Institute serves as the unit supporting journal development and scholarly publishing activities. The institute is chaired by Dr. Fauzan Sulman, S.Pd., M.Pd., the initiator of IJETZ.

The foundation provides the journal's institutional framework, while editorial and publication activities are conducted in accordance with the journal's published policies, peer-review procedures, and publication ethics standards. The respective responsibilities of the publisher, institutional management, and editorial team are intended to support accountability, operational continuity, and the sustainable development of the journal.

4. International Collaboration and Institutional Vision

IJETZ aspires to develop as an internationally connected scholarly journal by fostering academic relationships and collaboration with researchers, editors, reviewers, and educational institutions across countries and continents. These relationships reflect its commitment to building a scholarly community in which educational research can be shared, critically examined, and developed across geographical and cultural boundaries.

The journal's international vision is grounded in the belief that meaningful academic contributions do not depend solely on the geographical scale or institutional size of their origins. Rather, they grow through intellectual commitment, research integrity, collaborative effort, and a sustained dedication to scholarly excellence.

IJETZ carries a simple but enduring message: great aspirations can begin in small places. From its beginnings in a local educational community in Indonesia, the journal seeks to contribute to the global advancement of education by creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and international scholarly collaboration. Its ambition is to demonstrate that a locally initiated academic endeavor can aspire to build a meaningful place in the international scholarly community through perseverance, integrity, and a commitment to quality.

IJETZ views this journey not merely as institutional growth, but as an ongoing effort to create a lasting contribution to educational scholarship and to help shape a future in which valuable knowledge can cross borders and reach communities around the world.

5. Editorial Governance and Independence

IJETZ maintains an editorial structure comprising the Editor-in-Chief, editors, editorial board members, reviewers, and other personnel involved in the publication process. Their roles and responsibilities are guided by the journal's editorial policies, peer-review procedures, and publication ethics standards.

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and research integrity. The publisher and affiliated institution are expected to respect editorial independence and refrain from inappropriate interference in decisions concerning manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Potential conflicts of interest are addressed in accordance with the journal's relevant policies to safeguard the fairness, impartiality, and integrity of editorial evaluation. IJETZ is committed to maintaining a publication environment in which manuscripts are assessed on their academic merits rather than the institutional affiliation, nationality, or personal characteristics of their authors.

6. Transparency and Accountability

IJETZ is committed to transparency and accountability in its publishing arrangements, institutional affiliation, management structure, and editorial governance. Information concerning the publisher, editorial team, publication policies, peer-review process, and official contact details is made available through the journal's official website.

Material changes to the journal's publisher, institutional affiliation, or management structure will be reflected in the relevant information published on the official IJETZ website. Through these commitments, IJETZ seeks to maintain the trust of authors, reviewers, readers, institutional partners, and the wider scholarly community.
